Description
The long term EVS internship gives a practical response for the need of introduction and systematic use of creative pedagogy methods on the level of kindergartens and primary schools in the city of Odoheiu Secuiesc (Romania), using for this purpose the tool-set of non-formal education and intercultural dialogue developed by the 4 volunteers from Hungary and Turkey, connecting in the same time the awareness of European cultural diversity with the local children from schools and kindergartens. The activities are built into three groups, where the volunteers will be both creators and beneficiaries of the programs. The activities in order of importance are the creative pedagogy activities (70%), language courses and intercultural activities (20%) and the contribution to the daily work of the host structure, organizational support activities (10%). The volunteers will receive by mentors and professionals all the support that is necessary in order to accomplish their tasks.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteers will be hosted in a shared apartment located near the centre of the city, therefore they won’t need to take public transportation. The apartment has:
– 2 rooms and one bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine
– kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, glasses, all the necessary utilities
– Wi-Fi connection
Volunteers will receive a monthly pocket money of 60 euro and food allowance of 120 euro.
Training during the project
The volunteers will have to attend to 2 training sessions provided by the Romanian NA, which are the on-arrival and mid-term trainings, being also prepared for their activities within the project, such as working with children, organizing intercultural events and supporting the host structure.
