KEREKASZTAL BESZÉLGETÉS – KOLOZSVÁRI EGYETEMISTÁKKAL

Az Udvarhelyi Fiatal Fórum és a Europe Direct Hargita által megszervezett kerekasztal-beszélgetés sorozat szeptemberi kiadása a “Te pályád” nevet kapta. 

A beszélgetés meghívott vendégei, a moderátor vezetésével, megpróbáltak segítséget nyújtani a mai fiatalságnak a pályaválasztásban, vagyis abban, hogy mit is kezdjenek magukkal az iskola elvégzése után. Betekintést nyújtottak a kolozsvári fiatalság életébe, az ottani egyetemek működésébe, valamint az ott tanuló egyetemisták tanulási és szabadidős szokásainak feltérképezésébe. A beszélgetés moderátora Fülöp Bettina volt, aki jelenleg már mester hallgató a kolozsvári BBTE kémia karán és emellett már a tanári szakmát is gyakorolja Székelyudvarhely két iskolájában is. A beszélgetés résztvevői pedig Szikszai Zsuzsi (a Kolozsvári Orvosi és Gyógyszerészeti Egyetem fogtechnikai szakáról), Kiss Árpád (a Kolozsvári Agrártudományi és Állatorvosi egyetem állatorvosi szakáról), Tófalvi Nóra (a BBTE Közgazdaság és Gazdálkodástudományi karának menedzsment szakáról), Krizbai Kázmér és Nyisztor István (mindketten a Kolozsvári Műszaki Egyetem Építőmérnöki karának civil építészet szakos hallgatói) és Sándor Andrea (a Kolozsvári Művészeti és Formatervezési Egyetem, divattervezés szakos végzős hallgatója) voltak.

Az esemény fő témája mellett meghívottaink beszámoltak arról, hogy hogyan és mikor fogalmazódott meg bennük az, hogy milyen irányba szeretnének tanulni, amely mint napjaink fiataljainak, úgy a résztvevők többségének is egy nehéz és hosszas döntés volt, középiskolai éveiknek végéhez közeledve. Mindemellett szó esett azokról is, hogy miért választották az itthon tanulást, mennyi szabadidő adatik meg nekik az egyetem mellett, a kincses várost és az egyetemeket körüllengő tévhitekről, valamint arról is, hogy milyen volt elhagyni a szülővárosukat, Udvarhelyt. 

Köszönjük a Székelyudvarhely Megyei Jogú Város Polgármesteri Hivatalának támogatását, mely nélkül nem jöhetett volna létre az esemény.

Újra Green Game!

Harmadik kiadásához érkezett a Green Game Hargita megyei környezettudatos vetélkedő!

Programunkkal az elmúlt évekhez hasonlóan kívánjuk népszerűsíteni a környezettudatos életmód gyakorlását az általános iskolák körében. A vetélkedőre olyan Hargita megyei 5-8 osztályos diákok jelentkezését várjuk, akik szívesen tanulnának izgalmas, új dolgokat a környezetvédelem témájában, akik nem riadnak vissza az iskola utáni kreatív tevékenységektől és a csapatmunkától sem. A háromfős csapatok összetétele teljesen szabadon választható.

Re-Access City! – GUIDE for an accessible city

At the Re-Access City! youth exchange in June, a number of 39 young people from 6 different European countries took part in various activities to gain insight into the difficulties faced by people with disabilities – visually impaired, wheelchair users, etc. – and to map out the mobility opportunities in our hometown, Odorheiu Secuiesc. We asked the young people, divided into four groups, to follow a pre-assigned route, which was different for each of the teams, with wheelchairs and white canes. Their task was to analyze the facilities in the neighborhood. Participants toured the city centre and found many instances where it was particularly difficult or impossible to get around as a disabled person. The main difficulties reported on the routes were sidewalks, ramps and cobbled sections. Sidewalks have mostly proved to be too narrow, with holes and defects in many places, making it difficult or impossible to cross passageways, and curb cuts are also inappropriate for people with disabilities. In public institutions, restaurants and shops, there are problems at the entrance, where there are usually only stairs and high thresholds. There are ramps in some buildings, but some of them are difficult to use and create additional obstacles for people with reduced accessibility. Last but not least, cobbled paths can be found in many parts of the town, but they are not suitable for wheelchair users because they are not properly maintained and can be bumpy, incomplete and therefore very dangerous for all pedestrians and disabled people. The most shocking event of the project has happened on the route that leads to the local train station, it’s a cobbled path and while one of the participants was trying to get to the station, the tyre of the wheelchair has exploded because of a pointed stone.

The output of the events experienced by the young people is not only a map demonstrating the different categories of roads and problems in our city, but also suggestions for changes in mobility and the writing of a guide, which was presented for the City Council and the local press. This is the guide to a more accessible city, created by the participants of the Re-Access City! 2021 Erasmus+ Youth Exchange:

  • Repair sidewalks: Cities can improve their accessibility by keeping their sidewalk repairs efficiently up to date.
  • Correctly constructed or repaired curb cuts: Curb cuts provide an easy way for people with disabilities to navigate from the sidewalk to street level,and are particularly good for those with low vision, or people who use wheelchairs. Without a well-built curb cut, a wheelchair could tip when trying to go from sidewalk to street level, and a person with low vision might misjudge the height of the curb and fall.
  • Repair cobbled areas: Cobbled areas are an authentic and traditional stylistic feature of many neighbourhoods, but they need to be properly maintained and periodically repaired so that they are safe and accessible to all.
  • Accessible public toilets: Many people with disabilities may choose not to go out because they have no access to usable toilets. Cities need to provide accessible bathrooms with accessible stalls and toilets. Cities that wish to become more accessible should plan for a certain number of accessible bathrooms in every area of the city.
  • Social aspects: we must design the city so that all citizens without exception can share the same places, interact and interact. It is a matter of designing accessible spaces, parks, for example, banks must be accessible, and all services offered should be suitable for all people regardless of their physical or mental abilities. In addition, museums, should also be adapted with trained guides, just like the schools.
  • Thinking carefully: before making major investments and changes, it is worth listening to the opinions and suggestions of people who are genuinely involved and have the experience to make a useful contribution to the changes planned for them.
  • Education for understanding: informing citizens about the right attitude and assistance to people with disabilities. The general public should be much more attentive and understanding on the streets, as they often unnecessarily try to help or endanger people with reduced mobility through their inattention.

Conclusion: just because someone is physically disabled doesn’t mean they can’t have an opinion and be an equally fulfilled human being, they shouldn’t be excluded from decision-making and any social opportunities. In general terms, the city we live in directly influences our quality of life and our social relations, so it is important to create and maintain an environment that is liveable for all.

All of the above has been presented for members of the City Council and we are delighted to report that our project has initiated a conversation between disabled people and people in power, our NGO being the catalyst of this process.

Nemzeti Újrakezdés Program

Az Udvarhelyi Fiatal Fórum immáron több, mint három évtizede folytatja értékteremtő munkáját, az erdélyi civil életben kifejtett hiánypótló tevékenységét.

A megfelelő működés érdekében évről-évre jelentős mértékű támogatást nyújt a Bethlen Gábor Alapkezelő Zrt., akik rendszeresen támogatják az általunk szervezett rendezvények sokaságát, valamint a szervezet állandó, irodai működését.

2021-ben a Nemzeti Újrakezdés Programnak köszönhetően tovább folytathattuk az iroda rendszeres tevékenységét, a BGA által nyújtott jelentős támogatásból finanszíroztuk a szervezet által foglalkoztatott munkatárs bruttó havi bérét, a szervezet által használt irodahelyiségek bérleti díját, szervizeltettük az UFF tulajdonában levő személygépjárművet, nem utolsó sorban pedig beszereztünk egy multifunkcionális asztali nyomtatót és egy performáns külső adathordozót, adatmentés céljából.

Ez úton is hálásak vagyunk a Bethlen Gábor Alapkezelő Zrt.-nek a jelentős támogatásért és a megvalósításainkhoz nyújtott segítségért.

Angol tábor és ifjúsági csere

A 2017-es Access city csereprogram folytatása, a Re-Access City! 2021 Erasmus+ projekt a járványhelyzet szülte korlátozások miatt 2022. június 20 – 28-ra halasztódott. Ezzel egyidőben, június 24-28. között került megrendezésre az Udvarhely napok is, ahol az Udvarhelyi Fiatal Fórum is képviseltette magát az ún. UFF sátorral s ennek ötvözeteként valósult meg az idei Angol-magyar alkotótábor.

Az öt – görög, török, spanyol, portugál és lengyel – országból érkező összesen 30 fiatal további 50 itthoni diákkal közösen működtek együtt, angolt tanulva és szociális kompetenciáikat. Az angol táboros résztvevők tehát a program során mindamellett, hogy angolul tanultak, elsajátították a kulcskompetenciákat, megismerték a csatlakozó országok kultúráit, internacionális kapcsolatokra is tettek szert. Ugyanakkor a csereprogram témája árán betekintést nyertek az akadályozott – látássérült, kerekesszékkel közlekedő stb. – személyek nehézségeikbe, illetve feltérképezhették szülővárosuk mobilis lehetőségeiket, amit majd a Polgármesteri Hivatalban ismertettek a városvezetőkkel.

Ismételten köszönjük támogatóinknak, Hargita Megye Tanácsának és Székelyudvarhely Polgármesteri Hivatalának, hogy a rendezvény az eredeti elképzelések alapján valósulhatott meg, teret biztosítva a székelyudvarhelyi fiataloknak, hogy nemzetközi kapcsolatokra tehessenek szert a programsorozat által.

Re-Access City! 2021

Navigating the maze of cities can be a daily challenge for the roughly 80 million EU citizens living with a disability. Local transport may not have wheelchair lifts on buses, or Braille on signs, but there are annoying steps that prevent people from getting around. It is clear that people with disabilities want to be more mobile and independent, so we might ask ourselves: how can European cities be better designed to be more accessible for all? Should local authorities, urban planners and architects consider these issues more carefully? And if so, where there are accessibility challenges, can we – civil society and its representatives, active NGOs – help to overcome them? We are proud to say that our experience in accessibility for people with disabilities in cities was first gained five years ago, when we had our first successful youth exchange programme based on the above-mentioned objectives. Its continuation, ReAccess city! 2021 Erasmus+ project, has been postponed to 20 – 28 June of 2022 due to the restrictions imposed by the epidemic situation. The UFF’s core objective with this project was to identify accessibility challenges in local communities, develop useful tools and effectively overcome them, which was concluded with good results.

20 June 2022.

30 young foreigners from Greece, Turkey, Spain, Poland, and Portugal came to Odorheiu Secuiesc at different stages of the day. The participants were very open to the programme, still, after their arrival, they decided to relax and recharge.

21 June 2022.

On Tuesday morning, the participants were already excited as they lined up in the conference room of the Siculus Youth House, waiting to be introduced to the week’s activities. After discussing what they expected from the exchange and from us, and what we expected from the exchange and from them, we then focused on getting to know each other.IMG_4794
The ended the day with a welcome party after the cultural evening, where Turkey and Spain presented their respective cultures.

22 June 2022.

Wednesday morning started with a more in-depth project briefing, followed by a playful city mapping session. In teams, they had to find the places they would touch during the week in a “scavenger hunt” style.After the lunch break, we organized another team-building activity, followed by another cultural evening, this time with presentations on Greece, Poland and Portugal.IMG_4983

23 June 2022.

On Thursday morning we talked about the experiences of the 2017 exchange programme and watched the aftermovie summarizing the results.We analyzed it and shared our thoughts and stories.IMG_5513 másolata In the second half of the day, Gabriela Telekfalvi held a workshop and sessions for the participants on the everyday life of people with disabilities.IMG_5376After the evaluation of the day, we enjoyed the Udvarhely Days, where concerts and good vibes welcomed the young people.

24 June 2022.

On Friday we gave the reins to Arnold Buttu and his father Csaba – founder of the Hungarian Foundation for the Visually Impaired in Transylvania (EMLE) – and had our first session with them, their life and their story. In the next workshop, they presented their school for the blind, told us about their motivation, principles and goals, and invited the young people to an interactive discussion. In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to try out different exercises and games focusing on the sensitivity of the visually impaired.IMG_5460 másolata

The evening was also dedicated to the festival.

25 June 2022.

On Saturday morning, the big task began. We asked the young people, divided into groups, to follow a pre-assigned route with wheelchairs and white canes, analyze the facilities in the neighborhood and record them on video. The teams were each given a different route, covering the whole city.IMG_5154 másolata The second part of the day was a visit to the Rezső Haáz Museum, where the works of the blind artist Lajos Katona were on display.

We spent the evening at the festival.

26 June 2022.

On Sunday morning we asked the groups to draw a mobile map of Odorheiu Secuiesc from on sights and experiences of the day before, in order to be able to compare the results with those of 2017, and then asked them to prepare a presentation. We spent the afternoon with a youthpass session, where we mainly reinforced the 7 key competences, but also learned many interesting things together.IMG_5238

This day was the last day of the Odorhei Days, so the young people could attend the closing concerts and parties.

27 June 2022.

It was the big day, the highlight of our project. We started this day at the City Hall, where the teams presented the city’s accessibility, highlighted pressing problems and collected suggestions for the city leaders. IMG_5954 másolataIn the second half of the day, as an optional programme, we went to the community center, where the founder of the institution showed us around the rooms equipped for people with disabilities with all kinds of mobility machines, and then demonstrated various interesting exercises. This evening was ours. With our volunteers, we presented Romanian culture through history, dances, videos and games.

This was followed by a farewell party, during which some of the participants had to leave the venue to go home. The rest of the participants tried to make the most of the remaining time together.IMG_4878 másolata

28 June 2022.

A sad, overcast morning. We waited for the transfer in front of the High School dormitory, during which time we gave out 2 sandwiches, fruit, water and at least one tearful hug to each young person. The minibuses arrived in order and picked up the young people from us.

During the programme, international contacts, best friendships and lovemaches were made. Participants created useful tools to identify accessibility challenges within the local community. They created maps and videos of the local council take-up.

But perhaps the most useful part of the project was their understanding of the importance of inclusion and their acceptance of the idea that everyone should be able to use the same facilities, participate in the same activities and enjoy the same experiences, including people with disabilities or other disadvantages.

II. SzínFeszt – Amatőr Színjátszó Fesztivál

II. SzínFeszt – Amatőr Színjátszó Fesztivál

2022. június 17-18. között zajlott a II. SzínFeszt – Amatőr Színjátszó Fesztivál Székelyudvarhelyen. Az Udvarhelyi Fiatal Fórum és a Valeo Art Egyesület közös szervezésében zajló fesztivál helyszínéül a Siculus Ifjúsági Ház szolgált.

Az esemény olyan ifjúsági színjátszó csoportokat hivatott megszólítani, akik számára cél a területen való fejlődés és közös öröm a játék. Összesen hat csapat nevezett a versenyre öt településről, felléptek szilágybagosi, brassói, nagyváradi, marosvásárhelyi, szatmárnémeti, illetve székelyudvarhelyi amatőr színjátszó csapatok, akik a darabok veresenytetésén kívűl szakmai workshopokon is részt vehettek, így a program nem csupán a csapatok által összeállított előadások értékeléséről szólt, hanem az ifjú színjátszók kompetenciáinak fejlesztéséről is.

A résztvevőknek a szakmai fejlődésre is lehetőségük volt, hiszen workshopot tartott dr. Gyéresi Júlia beszédtanár, Ruszuly Ervin koreográfus és Bekő Fóri Zenkő színész. A rendezvény szombat este eredményhirdetéssel és díjkiosztó gálával zárult.

A rendezvény nem jöhetett volna létre támogatók nélkül: Székelyudvarhely Polgármesteri Hivatala, Communitas Alapítvány, Gordon Prod., Gondűző Hotel, Kék Hal közvetítő iroda, Bagolyvár könyvesbolt, Gutenberg könyvesbolt.

Kié a kultúra? – kerekasztal-beszélgetés

Mit nyújtanak a székelyudvarhelyi kulturális intézmények a fiatalabb generációnak? Melyek lennének a fiatalok igényei?

Az Ifjúság Európai Évében a célunk közelebb hozni egymáshoz a kultúra szervezőit és a fiatal fogyasztóréteget. Ennek apropóján az Udvarhelyi Fiatal Fórum 2022. április 7-én folytatta a kerekasztal-beszélgetések sorozatát: a nyolcadik kiadás meghívottai a helyi kulturális intézmények vezetői voltak. Nevesítve: Miklós Zoltán, a Haáz Rezső Múzeum igazgatója; Nagy Pál, a Tomcsa Sándor Színház igazgatója; Simon Mária Tímea Múvelődési Ház igazgató; Szőcs Endre könyvtárigazgató; valamint Orendi István, az Udvarhely Néptáncműhely igazgatója. A panel-beszélgetést a Rádió GaGa Udvarhelyszék munkatársa, Orbán Ferencz Sarolta moderálta.

A kulturális intézmények vezetői a város kulturális stratégiáját követik – egy családbarát város létrejöttén munkálkodnak. Úgy vélik, a kamaszok számára olyan kulturális eseményeket kínálnak, amelyek miatt jó nekik a városban élni, megéri családot alapítani, s itt felnevelni a következő generációt. A kerekasztal-beszélgetést nem kőbe vésett válaszokkal, hanem újabb kérdéssel zárták: Vajon mit akarnak a fiatalok?
Az esemény partnere a EUROPE DIRECT Harghita és a székelyudvarhelyi Művelődési Ház voltak, főtámogatónk pedig a Communitas Alapítvány.

Jubileumi, tizedik kiadásához érkezett a Székelyföldi Peron Music Tehetségkutató Fesztivál.
Ez az esemény nem csupán a zenélésről, a zene szeretetéről szól, hanem egyéb, a zeneiparban fontos tudnivalókkal is segíti a benevezett erdélyi együtteseket.
Célunk, hogy a benevezett együttesek ne ellenfelekként tekintsenek versenytársaikra, hanem kölcsönösen támogassák egymást szakmailag és emberileg egyaránt, továbbá rendelkezzenek mindazzal a tudással, ami zenekarukat a siker felé vezeti.

Rendhagyó téli angol tábor

Mindig érdekes és izgalmas történés városunk életében, ha egy csapat külföldi fiatal utazik hozzánk látogatóba. Nem volt ez másképp február végén sem, amikor is 8 európai ország, Görögország, Olaszország, Spanyolország, Törökország, Horvátország, Norvégia, Lettország és Litvánia fiataljai látogattak el Székelyudvarhelyre és Korondra, hogy 30 székelyudvarhelyi fiatallal együtt részt vegyenek a tizedik Magyar-Angol Alkotótáborban.

A programoknak a korondi Patakmenti Panzióbadott otthont január 21-23-a között. A program első szakaszában tapasztalt, az ifjúsági munka terén jártas szakemberek vezetésével ismerkedő, csapatépítő játékok zajlottak angol nyelven, majd kommunikációs tréning következett A program kiemelt része volt, hogy a Székelyföldi Legendárium gyűjteményén keresztül a külföldi részvevők megismerkedhettek a térség gazdag monda- és legendavilágával, a helyi kultúra sajátosságaival, sőt, a tábor ideje alatt néhány egyszerűbb magyar kifejezést is megtanulhattak. A tábor központi témája a történetmesélés volt, így a beszélt nyelv mellett például a zenei és képi történetmesélés kapcsán is workshopon vehettek részt a táborozó fiatalok. Meghívott előadónk volt Szűcs-Olcsváry Gellért, a székelyudvarhelyi Tomcsa Sándor Színház színművésze, Dávid Botond fotográfus, illetve az Udvarhelyi Fiatal Fórum munkatársai és önkéntesei.
